I've been resisting the instinctive urge to have my coffee for the past 30minutes because my email-checking is so enrapturing and my facebook-updating just can't wait but now that I have the sweet juice of life wafting in its smokey form into my nostrils, I CAN'T WAIT TO DRINK IT UP!
So my mom is secretly excited about today's events.
Mom: So today your friend is doing 'nikah' or 'hanta tanda'?
Raf: Huh.
Mom: How can you not even know!
Raf: I'll know when I get there lor?
Actually I KNOW lah, but its just more fun this way because she gets so annoyed like you won't believe!
I think Yana is getting 'hanta tanda' today which basically means 'to send signals' although in her case, since she's of the female species, she'll be 'receiving incoming signals'. And I'm not sure what 'nikah' means but I think it means All-Access-Entry which is not today. Today is gonna be just the engagement ceremony where they simply seal their engagement with I'm not really sure what.
Raf: Omg this is so exciting, I'm so happy for you!!!
Yana: YAH THANKS OMG!!!
Raf: Now everytime I call you, you must say "toot-toot... toot-toot..."
Yana: Huh why?!
Raf: Cos you're engaged!!!
I'm not sure what people are sniffing these days that's getting them all hooked into the idea of permanent couplehood but I'm so happy for my pluralled peeps!
Eyeknee its your turn tomorrow!!! I can't even begin to imagine how crazy your head is gonna be all today and tomorrow, so I'm not even gonna try. I'm not sure if we'll get to see each other tomorrow, but just know I'll be there and I'll be intenseeeeely happy for you :)))
