Swedish Udderlands

So today was the best fun evahh at our favourite place in all of furnituredom!

IKEA YOUKEA WEKEA!

And of course after all the grand excitement of catching the shuttle bus to Ikea, the first thing Ardhie and me did was to head straight for the hotdog queue! But after we had enough fun milking the chili sauce udders (because like omg seriously those udders) and watching funny people in the open carpark running in from the drizzling rain, we got down to biznazz fo shizzle.

So as you know, I'm looking to transform my room into the ultimate fantasyland of fabulousity with well, a floating shelf. I know right, its not as grand-scale as Sentosa Cove but its gonna be a million times more kecoh and chaotic!

Earlier in the day:
Sha: I want to help you transform your room!!!
Raf: Yay my very own debbie travis
Sha: Yeah I should be singapore's very own debbie travis hehe
Raf: Or shall I say deb-bee travis hehe geddit?

Raf: I was actually inspired by your study desk, when we jalan raya
Raf: I mean, not that your room wasn't inspiring, amy
Sha: Oh how come inspired?
Raf: I want floating shelves, so I can have shelves above my desk
Raf: Like yours, sha!
Sha: Floating shelves?
Raf: Not literally floating like harry-potter kind lah
Raf: I mean, shelves you can screw onto my walls
Amy: But Sha's shelves were attached to her desk hehe
Raf: Yah lah haha
Raf: But I can't ask my desk to suddenly grow shelves rightz

Raf: So we have to improvise with IKEA woohoo!

So Ardhie and me focused on floating shelves but of course we got diverted many times due to the many tools of wonderment this place beheld in front of our very easily-distracted eyes.

We saw this one first, but I didn't like the support thingys because it looks kinda cottage-esque and honestly I feel like everytime I'd look at them from my desk, I'd feel like I'm in a kampung house looking up at atap roofs.

I JUST CAN'T EXPLAIN but it has a deep deep kampung aura to it. Anything that makes me feel like I should be wearing kain-pelikat and moneybelt is not good for my general health to say the least!

Next, we saw these full-on shelves.

Quite honestly, if I was going for the dracula prince-of-darkness theme, this would have been perfect but I happened to be going for more of a cleopetra ice-princess-barbie theme haha so this was also a nah nah.

So finally we found the purrrrrrfect floating shelves to suit our sparkytacular budgetary tastes!

OMG IT WAS meowfection! But we didn't want pee-flavour so we looked around for other colours.

And we found these woodish-looking ones, which were just so magnifique!!!

Woohoo, so I was done and we were suddenly vulnerable to a lot of random nonsense, which never fails to happen once you've achieved your target objectives! I'm only gonna install my new floating shelves this weekend, so be patient for the final pics!!!

We met the one thing from IKEA that I've always always adored since the dawn of Ikeadom, my silky furry friend.

It looks just slightly sinful but the price tag is absolutely positively LEWD!

And we also met some creatures hanging around at the kids section.

Raf: Eh that's so cute
Ard: Oh yeah
Ard: But what's going on with that one over there?!

I feel like this should be pixelated!

Plus I got some plastic colorificotastico cutlery for babysis to play with!

So with our Ikea Day done, we took the shuttle bus again back to tampinesland.

Ard: Eh that couple looks so sweet ah, laughing here and there
Raf: Yah lor can tell they're not married
Ard: Oh you saw the ring eh?
Raf: Can't you see the guy is carrying the girl's bag
Raf: On his shoulder some more..
Raf: If married and she ask him to carry her bag like that
Raf: I think he will throw the bag in front of the bus hehe

So Ikea Day was a success! We celebrated our efficiency with KFC and Macdonalds, that's right you're not hallucinating typo-errors, we really had both!

At KFC:
Ard: Hmmm the zingers these days feel smaller ah?
Raf: YAH SIANZ

At Macs:
Ard: Hmmm the chocolate sundae also feels smaller
Ard: Is it just me!?
Raf: No leh, I think so too
Ard: Everything getting smaller and smaller..
Ard: But our tummies getting bigger!
Raf: Hehe omg sianz!
