For the second lap of our weekender Teamteaty marathonials, we headed down to the Castle of Durians (otherwise known as Goodwood Park Hotel to less-acquainted castle dwellers) and was greeted by the grand lady durian herself who helped us take like a gazillion pictures because lady durian miraculously had the uncanny ability to detect jakun-ness in her humble subjects.
Lady durian's castle was sooooo gorgeous!!!
AND THEN WE ATE HER *mwahahaha* Pardon my dark humour, I've just woken up from my third nap so far and even right now, I can still smell the durians. Oh this was the bestest lunch ever, my friends. This place has some kinda durian festival (which weirdly happens mostly throughout the year) and oh the cakes are soooo amazing :) I'm so gonna get some for mom's next bday, my mom loveeeeeeees all things cholesterol.Teamteaty out in full force this weekend :) I've missed my teamteaty and my teatyboy!
AND THE CAKES CAME!!! OHHH MYYYY GAWWWWWWWD the yummyness. Alright, my vagueness right now is so sinful so I'll give you a short breakdown of everything. That green-yellow thing is Durian-Pandan-Something and what I love about it is the coconut-shavings on top which Sharbie couldn't stand (which made me silently wish there was coconut shavings in every layer of everything so I'd have more of it) and the crunchy-looking other thing is Durian Strudel and it was a party in my mouth. Like literally the waiter had to come up to me and tell my mouth to turn down the party-music because that party in there was just too banging.
And then there're these things. Up front are the Durian Puffs which were okay-okay I must say they weren't all that fabulous. Those naughty ones at the back are the Hazelnut Durian Somethings, and those were GREAT but it was basically durian plus hazelnut. Ahhh the Durian Oreo Cake was by far the most tantalizing tootertastic thing of the afternoon, it had a strange coffee layer at the bottom which rocked MY bottom. So basically the whole lunch was AMAZING like never ever ever before!
And ummm, I think Dazzie was trying to cheer her up here. Or something!
So then after all that, WE WENT TO GEYLANG WOULD YOU BELIEVE HOW RANDOM. Geylang was exciting and scorchingly crazy but we couldn't take pics because for all its marvels, Geylang is not kind to jakuns. But I did take pics along the way to Geylang because the skies were just too beautiful yesterday to ignore.
Sharbie finally found one baju kurung which captured her heart indefinitely and even then she couldn't decide so we're letting her handle this on her own with her mom. I'm all, GO SHARBIE all the way but I couldn't handle baju-kurung hunting for one more second so we headed for DOWNTOWNEASTLAND *woohoo* one of my favourite lands in all the planet, for a sushiriffic dinner!!!
